Angelos Michaelides

Born in Cyprus, he lives and works in Athens since 1974.

He first studied medicine at the Universtity of Pecs, Hungary and then was admitted at the Athens School of Fine Arts where he studied painting and graduated with honours. Currently, he also works as a radiologist.

Though his primary media is painting he experiments with other mixed media and he produces installation works and constructions.

He has presented his work in several solo exhibitions in Athens, Thessaliniki, Rhodes and Nicosia and has participated in some group exhibitions mostly in Greece.

In 2005 he represented Cyprus at the 23rd Alexandria Biennial for Mediterranean Countries and in 2006 he participated in the 5th Biennale of Drawing in the Czech Republic and in the 4th Biennale WTA in San Jose of Costa Rica.
